Wyvern Theatre events
The programme is touring drama, comedy, musicals and family shows. Browse Wyvern Theatre events, or the Swindon Theatres listings. That page also covers the Arts Centre, so check which building a show is in before you set off.
This year's panto
Jack and the Beanstalk runs from Saturday 5 December 2026 to Sunday 3 January 2027, with Richie Anderson, Jamie Leahey and dame David Ashley. Tickets are on Trafalgar. The producers say the opening weekend and the closing weekend are the better-value performances, and prices rise closer to Christmas week.
Who it is for
Come here when you want a seat, an interval and a show that has been on the road. A loud standing gig belongs at the Vic or MECA. The Arts Centre, on Devizes Road, is the smaller room when 635 seats would be too big.
Bags and seats
Ask the box office on 0343 310 0040 before you bring a backpack. The rule can change for a particular show. The auditorium has stalls and a circle. The seat map appears when you book. For a wheelchair space, call the box office rather than relying on the online map.
Getting there and parking
Theatre Square is in the town centre, a short walk from Swindon station and the bus station. The Museum of Computing is next door. Town centre car parks are in our parking guide. Spaces near the theatre can be reserved ahead.
Pre-book parking by the Wyvern
Theatre Square fills up on a show night. Reserve a space before you leave.
