Town centre car parks

Swindon town centre has several council-run car parks. The Parade, Brunel Plaza, Whalebridge, and Fleming Way are among the main options. Charges typically apply Monday–Saturday; Sundays and bank holidays may be free or reduced. Check the council website for current tariffs – they can change. Most car parks use pay-on-exit or pay-and-display.

On-street parking

On-street parking in Swindon is controlled in many areas. Pay attention to signs and restrictions. Some areas have time limits; others require a permit for residents.

The council's parking team enforces restrictions. For current on-street charges and maps, see swindon.gov.uk – Parking.

Park & Ride

Swindon has Park & Ride services that let you park on the edge of town and take a bus into the centre. This can be cheaper and easier than finding town centre parking. Check swindon.gov.uk – Park & Ride for sites, times, and fares.

Private car parks

The Swindon Designer Outlet, shopping centres, and some venues have their own parking. The Outlet offers free parking for the first 15 minutes, then charges apply; see our Swindon Designer Outlet guide for details. Always check individual venue websites for their parking arrangements. You can pre-book parking at stations, airports, and many venues – often cheaper than paying on the day.

Blue Badge holders

Disabled parking bays are available in town centre car parks and on-street. Blue Badge holders should display their badge and check local rules. Some venues (e.g. the Designer Outlet) offer free parking for Blue Badge holders. See the council's parking pages for accessible parking information.
