No café or toilets
The museum is compact – no public toilets or café. Central Library is a minute away; you can be re-admitted free. Wheelchair access at entrance.
What to expect
The museum's collection spans early computers, classic games consoles, calculators, and other digital devices. Many displays are interactive, so visitors can try out vintage hardware and software.
The setting is compact but well curated – ideal for an hour or two of exploration, whether you're nostalgic for 80s and 90s tech or introducing younger visitors to computing history.
Location and opening hours
The Museum of Computing is at 6–7 Theatre Square, Swindon, SN1 1QN, between the library and the Wyvern Theatre. Opening: Saturdays 9:30am–5pm (last admission 4:15pm). May open additional days during special events – check the website.
