Gifts

Gift shows tend to be collectables, vintage pieces, and small accessories. That suits someone who wants a specific hobby item. It is a weak place to buy a safe present if you do not already know the size, the character, or the seller.

Sellers post after the show. A UK parcel can still take several days. An overseas parcel takes longer, and charges can be due on arrival. For a Christmas present, buy in October only if the seller ships from the UK and has a clear delivery estimate. If the date is tight, use a Swindon shop or the Designer Outlet instead.

Ask for measurements if the seller only gives a size letter. Vintage sizing does not match current high-street sizing. Returns are harder to arrange than with a normal online shop, so do not bid until the size is clear.
