Potholes and road defects

If you spot a pothole or other defect on a road, path, or cycle lane in Swindon, you can report it online. The council uses the information to schedule repairs. Include the location (street name, postcode, or description) and, if possible, a photo. See swindon.gov.uk – Report a problem on the road.

Fly-tipping

Fly-tipping is illegal dumping of waste. If you see fly-tipping on public land, report it to the council. They will investigate and arrange removal. For private land, the landowner is responsible. Report at swindon.gov.uk – Report fly-tipping. Do not touch or move the waste.

Street lighting

Faulty or broken street lights can be reported via the council's general report form. Provide the location (e.g. street name, nearest house number) and describe the issue – e.g. light not working, flickering, or damaged. See swindon.gov.uk – Report a problem.

Other issues

The council's Report a problem page covers a wide range of issues – from graffiti and abandoned vehicles to antisocial behaviour and noise. Select the appropriate category and fill in the form. For urgent issues (e.g. dangerous structures), call the council or the emergency services as appropriate.
