Lydiard Park has parkland, a lake, and the historic house. Free to walk the grounds. Coate Water Country Park has lakeside paths and green space. Both are good for a free day out. Check council websites for parking and facilities.
Museums and attractions
STEAM Museum is in the town centre. The Swindon Designer Outlet Village has shops, cafes, a play area, and the Hooter Express train. The Wyvern Theatre runs family shows; check their programme. Boom Battle Bar at Regent Circus offers games and activities.
