Liden is a residential area in east Swindon, developed from the 1960s onwards. With Redhouse it forms part of the Liden, Eldene and Park South ward. Liden Lagoon and local shops serve the community.
Character
Family-oriented with Liden Drive local centre (supermarkets, takeaways, convenience stores). Liden Lagoon provides green space. Generally more affordable than Old Town or Wichelstowe.
Transport
Buses to town centre and Great Western Hospital. Marlborough Road runs through the area. Cycle paths to Coate Water.
