Easter trails and egg hunts
Lotmead Farm

Farm park with animals, play area, cafe, and shop. Lotmead often runs an Easter trail during the school holidays: challenges around the farm with treats for children. Entry is usually included with farm park admission. Check their website for the current year's dates, times, and prices. Suitable for a range of ages.

Lydiard Park
Lydiard Tregoze, Swindon SN5 3PA
Lydiard runs a popular Easter trail, often on a Sunday in the Easter holidays. Children follow clues around the lake to spell a secret word and win a prize. A small charge per child usually applies; no booking required but check the website. The Forest Cafe and Coach House Tea Rooms are open. Parking charges apply. STEAM Museum
Fire Fly Avenue, Swindon SN2 2EY
Museum of the Great Western Railway. STEAM runs Easter activities such as trails (e.g. White Rabbit Pocket Watch Trail), workshops, and "Meet the Railway Workers" sessions. Some activities are included with admission; others may be bookable and have a small extra charge. Check their website for the Easter programme and book tickets online.

Swindon Designer Outlet Village

The Outlet has run a free Easter maze or trail in the past during the holidays. Check their website or social media for the current year. Shops, cafes, and family facilities make it a useful option even without a specific event. Free parking for the first 15 minutes.
Other venues
Pubs, railways, and other attractions in and around Swindon sometimes run Easter egg hunts or trails. Swindon and Cricklade Railway and Hall and Woodhouse at Wichelstowe have been among them in the past. Check their websites and our What's On for the current year. Farms in Wiltshire often run lambing and Easter events; search for "Easter farm Wiltshire" or "lambing Swindon" and confirm dates and booking before you travel.
Booking tips
- Book STEAM and any ticketed trails in advance. Easter is busy.
- Lydiard's trail is often pay on the day but check for the current year.
- Dress for the weather. Many trails are outdoors.
