Diana Dors
Diana Dors (1931–1984) was one of Britain's biggest film stars in the 1950s. Born in Swindon, she became known as the "British Marilyn Monroe" and appeared in dozens of films. A statue of her stands in the town centre.
Billie Piper
Billie Piper was born in Swindon in 1982. She rose to fame as a pop singer before becoming an acclaimed actor – notably as Rose Tyler in Doctor Who and in I Hate Suzie.
