  • Combined Lydiard Park and Coate Water (unreserved space): £63 per year

Coate Water’s fascinating history dates back to the 1820s when it was originally constructed as a reservoir to supply water to the Wilts and Berks Canal. This historical connection highlights the park’s importance in the region’s industrial past.

The Iconic Coate Water Diving Board

Coate Water Splash Park

The new Splash Park at Coate Water is now open for everyone to enjoy. Here’s what you can expect:

Facilities

  • A paddling pool
  • Water features and games
  • Seating areas

Accessibility

The splash park is designed to be fully accessible with level surfaces and a slope for wheelchair access into the paddling pool. It also features rumble strips, handrails, and interactive elements located outside the wet zones.

Operating Hours

The splash park is free and open between 11am and 6pm every day from the late May bank holiday to the end of September, provided heavy rain, strong winds, or low temperatures do not prevent its operation.

Children’s Play Park

Children can enjoy fantastic play areas with equipment suitable for various ages, including swings, slides, climbing frames, and mini trampolines. There’s also a dedicated toddler park for the youngest visitors.

Crazy Golf or Pitch & Putt

Golf enthusiasts can enjoy:

  • 18-hole pitch and putt
  • 18-hole mini golf
  • 9-hole putting green

Prices range from £2.20 for the putting green to £5.50 for pitch and putt (including club and putter hire).

You can purchase balls, tees, and pencils at the reception.

For those looking to tee off, the pitch, putt, and crazy golf facilities are open during regular hours from 11am until 5pm on weekdays and from 10am to 6pm on weekends

Fishing at Coate Water Park
