Time Travellers Family Sessions: Meet the Anglo Saxons!

Travel back in time and visit Anglo Saxon Swindon! Find out what life was like in Swindon 1,200 years ago!

Join the Swindon Museums Team at Central Library this summer for a chance to visit Anglo Saxon Swindon! How did Anglo-Saxons brush their hair, did they eat cake, and what did they do at the weekend?! See the possessions of an Anglo-Saxon warrior found in Swindon, create your own coin, and have a go at every-day tasks from 1200 years ago!
The event is ideal for ages 6+ and families/groups can enjoy the activities together. Sessions last 45m and take place at 10.30am, 11.30am, 12.30pm, 2pm and 3pm. Please book one of these time slots on the ticket page. This is NOT a drop-in event.

The event is free, but tickets must be booked in advance. We regret we cannot let anyone in without a ticket on the day. Tickets are time limited. You will only be able to attend the session indicated on your ticket. Please note the different time slots when you choose your tickets. You will need to book enough tickets for each member of your party. Children must be accompanied at all times.
